Save to Chunk (iPhone, iPad & Mac)

Send anything into Chunk from any app on your Apple devices. The Save to Chunk share extension captures links, text, images, and PDFs straight to your Inbox — no copy-paste required.

Before you start

Make sure you have Chunk 2.5.0 or later installed on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac, and that you're signed in. That's the only setup — the "Save to Chunk" action becomes available automatically once the app is installed.

Saving from any app

When you find something worth keeping — a webpage in Safari, a photo, a PDF, a passage of text — reach for the system share button and choose Chunk.

  • On iPhone or iPad: tap the Share button, then tap "Save to Chunk" in the share sheet. (Scroll the actions row and tap More to enable it the first time if you don't see it.)
  • On Mac: use the Share menu in Safari, Mail, Preview, and other apps, then choose "Save to Chunk".
  • Add an optional note in the pop-up, then tap Save. The capture lands in your Inbox, where Chunk titles, tags, and files it.

What you can share

The Save to Chunk share extension accepts the things you capture most:

  • Links and web pages.
  • Selected or plain text.
  • Up to 4 images at once (the originals are optimized on save).
  • PDFs — the original file is also kept in your Documents.

Even faster: Siri, Shortcuts & the Action Button

Chunk also adds a "Save to Chunk" App Shortcut. Say "Save to Chunk" to Siri, add it to a Shortcut, or map it to the Action Button on iPhone to capture a link or note hands-free. You can also open your Inbox any time with the chunk://inbox link.

Saves even when you're offline

No signal? No problem. If a capture can't reach Chunk right away, it's queued on your device and syncs to your Inbox automatically the next time you open the app.
